Vuk Popović Founder of Quantox Technology

Why do the Standards of Business Conduct (Standards) Exist?

  • As an international company, we are subject to the highest standards of ethical conduct and behavior
  • The Standards help us make decisions in our daily work
  • The Standards demonstrate that we take our legal and ethical responsibilities seriously

Who is Expected to Follow the Standards?

  • The Standards apply to all partners, officers, and board of directors, as well as temporary service workers and independent contractors
  • We also expect that third parties working on our behalf will follow similarly high ethical standards

1. Leading by example and Ethical leadership

Quantox is a company grounded in integrity, trust, and honesty. How we do things is as important as what we do. A company founded on the idea that working as a team including colleagues, customers and partners is the only means of achieving the best quality results. When talking about ethics and an ethical stance towards your project, colleagues, clients, and all-round responsibilities we strive for our leaders to be the ones that will lead the team by example. From CEO to intern, we apply the same ethical standards and expect not less, not more from all our employees.

Together we continue to win the right way!

2. Act with integrity

As an employee, we expect you to:

  • Act with uncompromising integrity: demonstrate your commitment to our values, policies, and the law by always putting integrity first.
  • Raise a concern: every employee is expected to report any suspected misconduct immediately.
  • Cooperate: comply with all internal investigations and audits.

If you are a manager, you must also:

  • Be an ethical leader: use your good judgment and the Headline Test to ensure your actions demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior.
  • Be a resource: know Integrity at Quantox values and expectations so you can reinforce them with your team and answer employee questions.
  • Open your door: encourage employees to come to you if they want to talk or have questions.
  • Build trust: take employee concerns seriously, provide guidance, and take appropriate action to prevent, detect, and respond to misconduct and ask for help if needed.
  • Never retaliate: do not retaliate (or let others retaliate) against anyone who raises a concern.
  • Escalate: every people manager is required to report any suspected violation of Integrity at Quantox or other misconduct immediately.

3. Respecting human rights

Work, thrive and achieve, in a way that respects human rights and dignity.

Respect fundamental human rights and freedoms. Our commitment to upholding human rights is a core value of Quantox.

We at Quantox are a global team of many ethnicities, nationalities, genders, and religious backgrounds and it is our all responsibility that everyone feels accepted, welcome, and enjoys a work environment free of any discrimination. Our goal is to create positive impacts for people, society, and businesses while mitigating risk and preventing harm. To accomplish this, we must prioritize communication, clarity, and accountability all across the organization of Quantox.

Raise a concern:

If you believe your rights have been infringed upon or you see retaliation happen to someone else, report to your manager or another internal resource.

Quantox promptly investigates allegations and will take action when appropriate to remedy any adverse impact on someone’s rights.

4. Trust through respect for individual privacy

Respect privacy and personal data. We recognize that privacy is a fundamental human right. We also know that privacy, security, and data protection are increasingly important to maintaining the trust of our employees, customers, and partners worldwide. As a Quantox employee, you must follow our policies and all applicable laws in collecting, accessing, using, storing, sharing, and disposing of personal data. Be transparent about Quantox’s practices and provide privacy preference options to the individuals you work with. Use personal information only for legitimate Quantox. business purposes.

*What is “personal data” ?“Personal data” is anything that could be used to identify someone, either directly or indirectly, such as a name, email address, phone number, credit card number, government ID number, location data (GPS, IP address), or device serial number.

5. Respect everybody

As an international company with a diverse client base from all over the world as well as a diverse employee base, our motto is to treat all people, inside and outside the company, with fairness, dignity, and respect. We at Quantox embrace our diversity, equity, and individual differences including those based on race, ethnicity, gender, nationality, ability, religion, generation, or sexual orientation. Quantox benefits from the creativity and innovation of employees with different experiences, perspectives, and cultures working together.

Practice equal opportunity in every action and embrace the diversity of all Quantox  employees. As stated in Quantox policies, do not discriminate against any employee or applicant based on gender, color, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, disability, pregnancy, protected genetic information, and political affiliation.

What to watch out for:

  • Inappropriate behavior that includes sharing derogatory texts, emails, or gestures based on a protected class
  • Unwanted sexual advances
  • Threats, assaults, or name-calling
  • Jokes or comments that are inappropriate or offensive.

6. Avoiding conflict of interest

Proactively address potential conflicts of interest. We all have activities, interests, and relationships outside of Quantox, but they should never influence or appear to influence the decisions we make on behalf of Quantox. It is your responsibility to recognize and avoid situations that could be perceived as a conflict of interest. If you are unsure, discuss the situation with your manager.

How can a potential conflict of interest arise:

  • Outside employment or conducting non-Quantox business with a Quantox business partner, supplier, channel partner, or customer.
  • Investing or having a financial interest in a Quantox business partner, supplier, channel partner, or customer.
  • Pursuing a business opportunity that you learned about through your work at Quantox.
  • Service on a board of directors or as an advisor of an organization that is not part of Quantox.

*What are “financial interests”? “Financial interests” include investment, ownership, and creditor interests, as well as any other financial arrangement that provides a share of profits or revenues.

*What are “close personal relationships”? “Close personal relationships” include romantic relationships but may also include other relationships as well, particularly financial relationships such as partners in ownership of a business or property.

7. Never bribe or participate in kickbacks

Maintain integrity at all costs. Never offer or give anything of value to win or retain business, or to secure an improper advantage, even if it means losing business. Offers of anything of value to win business are considered bribery. Never offer money or something of value to a third party in exchange for something else, such as a discount, favor, or preferential treatment. This is considered a kickback. We never offer or receive bribes and do not permit kickbacks.

Do not make facilitation payments. A facilitation payment is a small payment of cash or something of value made to a government official to secure or speed up the performance of routine government action. Any requests for a facilitation payment or any facilitation payments made under duress must be reported immediately.

Do not be afraid to speak up and raise awareness!
Report any request for, or offer of, a bribe or kickback to your manager, or a person dedicated to Whistleblower protection.

How to recognize a bribe?

A bribe can happen in many forms, including:

  • A payment
  • A gift
  • A favor
  • A job offer
  • Entertainment or travel offer

Even a charitable or political contribution could be considered a bribe if it influences a decision.

8. Know the rules about gifts, meals, and travel

Give and receive gifts, meals, travel, and entertainment only if it complies with the Quantox policies. We should avoid even the appearance of a business decision being influenced by what we gave or received.

All gifts or entertainment must:

  • Be intended only to improve the company's image, better represent products and services, or foster goodwill in the business.
  • Appear reasonable and legitimate to an outsider.
  • Never be given in exchange for something in return.
  • Never be solicited.
  • Not violate the policies of the recipient’s organization.

How do I know if a gift is acceptable?

Reasonable gifts offered in the normal course of business can be perfectly acceptable, but any offer that creates a sense of obligation or would appear improper is always inappropriate. Do not take a risk, always ask your manager or Global Legal Affairs if you are unsure.

9. Quantox foundation and charity work

We at Quantox strongly believe that being part of the community and giving back to the community is an integral part of being a responsible organization. That is why in 2020 the official Quantox Foundation was established and started to engage in charitable work. We motivate our employees to engage in charitable work not only by donating but also by participating in various activities that the charity organizes.

Be there when needed.

Together we have helped in building houses for those in need since we believe that every human being deserves a home in which they feel safe. We have helped in renovating hospitals, and orphanages, and helping the elderly because they deserve to feel safe and happy just like we wish for ourselves to be when we are their age. Uniting the community from all around to participate in charitable work is one of the main focuses of the charity. Just like our company’s motto that teamwork is the pillar of success, we believe the same applies to any other form of and especially getting involved in helping others and creating a better future for those who need it most.

10. Help others and make a difference

Volunteer responsibly.

You are encouraged to take an active role in making a positive difference in your community. However, it’s important that you do not use Quantox Technology resources for any political or charitable contributions without prior approval.

Contribute responsibly.

We encourage you to make personal contributions to causes and organizations you support, and we want everyone to feel comfortable with their choices. Do not pressure or solicit employees, business partners, or customers to contribute to or join your preferred charities, groups, or political activities.

At the office.

Be there and proactively engage in helping your colleagues. Whether it’s a work-related problem they are facing, a technical issue, or something out of the ordinary if your expertise, skillset, and knowledge can be used to solve the problem you are encouraged to do so. We have all been in situations where we needed help, especially when we first started and we all remember that colleague that had the time and patience to be there when we needed it. Be kind, polite, and professional, encourage teamwork, and encourage others to be the best they can be.
