The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
When you hire a web developer to improve your website, you want to know that the work they have done is helping your business out, right? Fortunately, it’s very easy to check that with free tools like Google Analytics. This is very easy to use, and very handy also. You simply have to have your developer input a specific code to the site, and then everything will be tracked by Google! This gives you a ton of data to measure and a lot of information. However, for those who aren’t familiar with some of the terminology, it can be a little overwhelming, so here are some important portions to track.
This is the thing that most people look at right on the front of the analytics site. This tells you how many people visited your website, and it shows it over a period of time so you can easily see any dips and bumps. When you track it, you will know if your traffic went up according to any particular marketing push, so it really does give you a nice idea of what works and what doesn’t work. Below this graph will be some other metrics relating to sessions, one of which is the percentage of new sessions. This will tell you how many new visitors your site had - ie, ones who hadn’t visited it recently.
The bounce rate is very important in analytics because some industry experts speculate that sites with high bounce rates get lower consideration in search engine standings. The bounce rate represents people who visited your site, but it wasn’t what they were looking for, so they left pretty quickly. If you have a high bounce rate, there’s a chance that your site is ranking highly for something that doesn’t make too much sense, or something about your site doesn’t draw people in, so it’s time to contact us to see what you can do about it!
Related to bounce rate is the engagement section. This doesn’t have anything to do with holy matrimony, but it does tell you how long people have spent looking at your site. Some SEO experts theorize that higher times on site result in better search engine rankings, so this is a great metric to pay attention to.
This is always an exciting section to look at because it tells you which pages on your site are the most popular. Using this section you can really tell what types of pages are drawing people in and which are not doing so hot. It’s always exhilarating to find out what people really react to and the evidence is undeniable!
